Britain is in the grips of a long-awaited (and hopefully long-lived!) heatwave.
On a warm day there’s nothing better than relaxing in your garden with friends and of course, a cool summer serve.
With the Whitley Neill Summer of Gin now in full-swing we’d like to share with you our tips to make any garden soiree go off without a hitch and help you make the most of the great British Summer time.
The perfect serve for summer is always going to be an ice-cold Gin and tonic. There are many refreshing garnishes that we would recommend for your Whitley Neill Gin and tonic, the classic being an orange wedge but for optimum refreshment, you might want to try a pink grapefruit.
Fever-Tree have just launched their range of mini-cans which would be perfect for the occasion!
If you’re looking to go a little more creative with your drink selection though, we would recommend a frozen drink such as the watermelon gin and tonic served up by Shrub and Shutter.
Many British party throwers find the lure of a barbecue’s hot coals and sumptuous scents too much to pass up but it’s certainly a lot of work for a hot day!
For the perfect accompaniment to your Whitley Neill we would recommend a Bunny Chow. Don’t let the name fool you, this is a delicacy whose base roots are in Indian cuisine but was made the famous by South Africans who, after 70 years, brought it to the UK.
It’s the perfect finger food (no plate required) and you can either have a go at making a bunny chow yourself or, if you’re lucky enough to live in London, head down to the Bunny Chow restaurant, they even do home delivery!
With your food and drink sorted, all you need is a good group of friends and some sunshine to enjoy it in!
