Cocktails in the City returns to Edinburgh this year on the 29th and 30th of October, with Whitley Neill once again taking part in the two-day event.
Previously partnering The Blue Pig in Manchester, Leeds’ The Maven, and Shrub and Shutter of London this year, it is now the turn of Haymarket-based bar The Jolly Botanist.
They will be serving their ‘Whitley Day’ cocktail at Mansfield Traquair, ‘the Sistine chapel’ of Edinburgh, over the two days.
One of sixteen bars at the event, The Jolly Botanist’s Whitley Neill cocktail includes:
25ml Whitley Neill
25ml Elderflower Liqueur
5ml concentrated baobab fruit syrup
25ml fresh apple juice
20ml fresh lemon juice
1 fresh egg white
Dry shake all the above ingredients, shake again with cubed ice, and double strain into a chilled martini glass, adding a caramelised apple wheel as the cocktail’s garnish.
